    VHS is dead
Saturday, February 25, 2006 @ 12:49AM
VHS is dead. People need to come to reality with it and move on. Most movies are on the DVD format only. That is right, stop complaining to the video clerk about how they do not have any VHS tapes, they are not made anymore, and it is not possible for the video clerk to buy something that does not exist. So just buy a damn DVD player, they cost less than $40.

Who would want a VHS copy over a DVD? DVDs come in widescreen so you can watch the movie as the director intended, 5.1 surround sound and even if you do not listen in surround the audio is still clearer and more vibrant sounding, and most importantly a DVD does not degrade in quality every time you watch it.

So, you still want a VHS copy of the movie. If you even find a VHS copy of the movie you want, I hope you enjoy only watching only half the movie with muddy audio. I also hope you do not plan to watch it many times because before long, the video will be snowy, the VCR will be unable to adjust for the bad tracking and the audio will hiss, that is of course assuming the VCR does not chew the VHS tape thereby destroying the VHS tape.

Why buy a full screen movie
Tuesday, February 14, 2006 @ 01:23AM
Why do people buy full screen movies? Buying a full screen movie is like only buying half a movie. Most movies are filmed in widescreen meaning when you watch them on most TVs there are black bars on the top and bottom of the movie but you are watching the movie are the director intended and how it was shown in the theater. With a full screen movie, the studio has to chop off half of each frame to turn it into a full screen movie thereby only giving you half a movie.

There are exceptions; there is nothing wrong with buying full screen movie if the movie was filmed in full screen. But most movies are filmed in widescreen so we are back to my original question, why do people like watching only half a movie?

Movies should be considered pieces of art and just like how no one would ever consider cutting up the Mona Lisa to fit into a certain size frame the same consideration should be applied to movies.

    Why do people rent movies?
Friday, January 20, 2006 @ 08:35PM
A little over a year ago, I asked that question and today I still have no idea. I should rephrase that. I know people get a service like Netflix because if you are forever watching movies or wish to watch several seasons of a TV show it can be cheaper but I do not know why people would want to go to a store like Blockbuster or Hollywood video just rent one movie. A large portion of people who rent movies do not really care what they rent they just want a movie to watch. Why rent a movie when for just a few cents more you can buy a movie? It costs $4.50 now to rent a movie however if you go to Walmart you can buy good movies not just junk for $4.88. If you really do not want to keep the movie, after you are done watching the movie, you can go to a store like Half price books and get cold hard cash for the movie which in the end would make the movie cheaper than renting it. Therefore, we are back to the question, why do people rent movies at the video rental store.

Let us blame others for our own failures
Thursday, October 27, 2005 @ 12:06AM
Why do people blame others for their own screw-ups? People in Florida are blaming the government for not providing them with food and water after the last hurricane. Jeb Bush is even accepting blame for the problems with distributing food and water to individuals affected by hurricane Wilma.

How about instead of demanding the government give you everything, you take responsibility and take care of your own damn self. People are complaining that the government did not plan well enough to handle the devastation after a storm, yet at the same damn people did not plan themselves. How about you plan ahead and have water and food ready for when there is a storm. It does not cost much to keep a weeks worth of food and water to be used after a storm. If you really need ice to chill your medicine then how about you plan ahead again and make some ice while you still have a working freezer so you do not have to wait in line for hours for ice and complain about how others did not plan ahead.

Hurricanes happen every year in Florida and people are given several days warning when a hurricane is coming. People need to start taking responsibility in their own damn failure to plan ahead and be ready for the aftermath of a hurricane instead of blaming everyone else for their own failures.

    Coupons
Thursday, September 29, 2005 @ 11:31PM
Coupons are NOT cash; they should not to be treated like cash. They hold no value. That is why if you actually bothered to read the back of the coupon you would see the coupon is worth 1/100th of a cent. Coupons are worthless until the retailer accepts them in lieu of cash. Until the retailer redeems them, they hold no value, they are worthless, so stop saying they are the same as using cash. Using coupons to get free stuff is not the same as using cash.

Try putting a coupon in a strippers g-string and getting her to believe it is just as good as a $1 bill.

    Gift cards not working
Thursday, August 4, 2005 @ 01:48AM
It is not the store’s fault your damn gift card does not work.

If you try to use a gift card you are told it do not have any money on it then there is nothing the store can do. If there was suppose to be money on it then the computer would say there is. It is not possible for someone to get a gift card, pay for it and not have it activated. The gift card must be activated before it can be purchased. If the cashier tries several times to determine if there is money on the card and every time it comes up with no value, there is nothing that can be done.

It is very easy for someone to steal one and tell you they put money of it. Gift cards are small and easy to steal but they have no value until someone pays for it and it is not possible for someone to pay for it without first adding value to it and activating it. So do not fucking at the cashier for your damn gift not working.

    Account required to rent stuff
Thursday, August 4, 2005 @ 12:40AM
Yes, you need and account setup with the store to rent. Do you actually expect the store to allow you rent the item and then hope you bring it back when you are done? If you went to rent a car, gave them $100 and said you will bring it back when you are do, do you think they will let you rent the car without first asking you who the hell you are and find out where you live? People are fucking liars and dishonest, the stores need proof of who the hell you are before they can let you rent something they own.

    Stealing
Monday, August 1, 2005 @ 05:23PM
I would like to there to be a new theft law. If you are caught stealing, you get shot. There can be exceptions to the law such as if you were caught stealing food for your family or if you are a child then you are allowed to remain living. But if you and adult and are caught stealing something like lets say DVDs which are not essential for you to stay alive then the store has the right to shot the theif once for every item you stole.

People who steal, are the scum of the earth that do nothing but create problems for everyone else. Thieves are nothing but big scum sucking parasites of humanity which should be wiped off the face of the earth so everyone else can prosper. People who steal do not just steal once and stop doing it, they keep doing it till they are caught and even then do not stop most of the time so by just killing them off now will save us time from having to arrest them again for doing the same damn thing.

    Manager’s job
Friday, July 22, 2005 @ 03:12PM
It is not the manager’s job to do whatever the customer wants. It is the job of the manager to do what will help the company be profitable. Screaming at the manager will not cause him to do whatever you want. If your demand is unreasonable and you are being an asshole he does not have to do anything for you. Most managers do want to help the customer and do what is right but if you attack him as soon as to walk in the door demanding stuff do not be surprised when he resists. Many managers follow the philosophy of assuming the customer is lying till you can prove they are not and screaming does not help prove you are not lying. Managers are people too but if they have been a manager for more than a day, then they will have already had many people yell at them demanded stuff so do not surprised when the manager does not just bend over and give you everything you want.

    The cycle of promotion
Friday, July 22, 2005 @ 03:09PM
Ever wonder why businesses seem to be filled with such fuckups for employees. In business, people are promoted up until they reach one level higher than they can handle. As people become successful in the current positions, they move up the ladder and eventually they will reach a position that is just above their level of ability. They will then fail at this position. It is possible they will be demoted to a position they are good at, however they will eventually move up again to a position that is past their ability and so the cycle of promotion and failure begins again.
